Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.
Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes the visible.
Paul Klee

The characteristic five-point building of the former correctional facility in Maribor was built in 1889 as one of the most advanced and up-to-date buildings of this kind in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. All five wings of the building and its immediate surroundings are protected as a cultural heritage site. Apart from two renovated wings, the building with around 16,000 m2 is today abandoned and dilapidated. Following detailed discussions and analyses, the project URBACT III – 2nd Chance has offered several propositions for the revitalisation of the degraded building and its connections with the urban landscape of Maribor.

Space as an architectural basis for experimentation with light bodies.
