Golden Wall. Paradise. Sequence of Presence.

Searching for the river, I come across a wall. I measure it out with painful steps.

The work delves into the phenomenon of the wall (the intimate aspect of the phenomenon is brought out by the performance situation of two persons sitting and facing one another, a situation that socially represents the entry point in the representation of concrete reality). The visual material includes fragments from field recordings taken on the author’s month-long hike down the Wienfluss River in Vienna, where she stopped every few steps to take a snapshot of the wall. The walking is now continued by the movement of arms and hands, the silence continues. The past is passed on into the present by fingers coated in gold.
