Open until: 30.9.2017. The gallery is open from 12 pm to 7 pm.

The exhibition Proximities is an attempt at a creative dialogue among selected works by Enya Belak Gupta and Ajda Tomazin. Juxtaposing the works of these two authors unearths the dangerous proximity created between the body of the filmmaker and the body of the object, between the inner and the outer, the visible and the invisible, between the elusive, volatile, and unstable, and especially between perceptions of states, images, perspectives and their transgressions, derivatives, presences. We were interested in what kind of closeness is created amongst our and in-between the removed, multiplied, blurred, airbrushed, and edited bodies. What makes us resort to different corporealities? In what ways do bodies in movement influence our own corporeality? A journey through the authors’ corpuses of work opens up questions of movement, closeness, manipulation.

Selected works: Enya Belak Gupta: Behind Closed Eyes, To See Self See, Delta; Ajda Tomazin: NET IN WORK, Dancing Jess, In ACTO
Selection and setting: Jasmina Založnik in dialogue with Enya Belak Gupta & Ajda Tomazin
